Michael Moore Finally Admits He's Gay
No, I won't put any pictures of the walking turd here. Michael was being interviewed by somebody (does it matter?) on Current TV. He was asked about how he deals with people being mean to the poor little guy. His answer? Admitting that he's gay.

Joe Scarborough is an Expert on Something
"Conservative" MSNBC talking head Mr. Scarborough seems to think that getting elected to some office is what is important in life. For some reason, somebody interviewed him as if he had something interesting to say. I'm not going to link to it because it's not worth the trouble. Joe has no idea how to get ratings, yet claims that "a lot of people like watching people on MSNBC". Really? Joe has his ratings lunch handed to him every day. He's such a douche.

Why Are You Surprised By Nancy?
So, she decided to have a vote on a Saturday night. You are surprised? Really? Desperation causes people to do silly things. Nancy and Harry desperately need to do something that makes it appears like they have an accomplishment. So, they've done it. Big deal. When you have a party majority and you barely get a bill passed, well then I have to say...whatever. The Senate will do the right thing. Right? Right?

Riveted By Balloon Boy? Pathetic.
Maybe I've just grown cynical in my advanced age, but, I'm not sure why anyone would have been riveted by the "balloon boy" saga. Seriously. Don't you have more important things to worry about? Now, it's even more pathetic that y'all who were riveted, were riveted by a hoax! Suckers. Then again, you probably voted for hope and change.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? Iran!!
If you are one of the 50 million geniuses who voted for this, well done. First, it's inviting them over for food and fun. Next, we'll be in bed with them. Finally, we'll wake up with someones head in our bed. That could be the head of a British tourist. Who knows.

Game Nine - Too Much Drama
This game was the final straw. This is my last year unless league "leadership" changes. Sushi is ready to quit now. What was a good game, ended up in an ugly manner.
We were the home team against our nemesis team, game tied at 5 in the bottom of the 6th. Got the lead runner on, but the next two batters got out. Batter hits the ball to left and I'm calling the lead runner to third and the left fielder futzes the ball and so I send the runner home. He beats the throw, game over, we win. Except: runner missed both second and third.
During the game, the umpire's strike zone changed and not in our favor. One of my parents told us that the ump was friends with the opposing coach. So, after the winning run scored, the other coach ran out to talk to the ump (suspicious) and then they appealed at second. The ump called the runner out. I wouldn't have said anything except for the little talk before the appeal. So, I went and asked the ump if he had actually seen the runner miss second. He said no and I said that he couldn't call the runner out if he didn't see him miss the base. (The idiot league prez hollered something stupid, which I just ignored.) The ump called him safe, they then appealed at third, the ump called him out after he told me that he saw the runner miss third. At this point, I'm fine and am getting the kids ready to go another inning.
One of my parents (he helps coach too) got involved, stating that the appeal was not done correctly. So, several minutes were spent on deciding what to do. A parent from the other team that I really like, was in agreement about the incorrect appeals, but he wasn't sure what to do. I completely sat this out, letting everyone else freak out. I was talking to the ump and realized that he did not see the runner miss either second or third. He thought the appeal at third was on the batter, who didn't bother to touch third because the game was over. Since he didn't see the runner miss either base, he couldn't call him out. Since he couldn't call him out, the run had to count and we won the game.
I'm not sure why this year has been so much trouble, but the combination of having to work so hard to get my schedule reorganized and having so many stupid problems with the league add up to be too much.

Game Eight
Another missed game. I missed a great comeback. They were down by seven and ended up winning by six.

Sotomayor Must Be Opposed
I think that it is a statement of where the Republican party is when Republicans are afraid of voting against someone because they might make some group mad. I don't know about you, but I've stopped referring to myself a Republican and, instead, refer to myself as a Conservative. The fear of opposing someone based on race or sex or how we'll be thought of is a joke. Three reasons she should be opposed:
- This brilliant quote: "...Court of Appeals is where policy is made..." That alone should disqualify her.
- She's been reversed 60% of the time. For those of you in the public school system, that's a 40% success rate. Last time I checked, that's a freaking joke.
- Another quote: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life." Isn't liberty supposed to be blind? What difference does sex or race make? Liberals keep telling us that we are the ones focused on race and sex, yet we're not the ones making a huge deal of it (Condi Rice, Miguel Estrada, Alberto Gonzales, General Powell before he went to the dark side. All minorities that were castigated by liberals.).

Game Seven
Non-league game. Lost by 4, but played well. Just didn't hit worth beans. A disturbing problem that keeps coming up is an inability of our best two pitchers to get outs.
