Sotomayor Must Be Opposed

I think that it is a statement of where the Republican party is when Republicans are afraid of voting against someone because they might make some group mad. I don't know about you, but I've stopped referring to myself a Republican and, instead, refer to myself as a Conservative. The fear of opposing someone based on race or sex or how we'll be thought of is a joke. Three reasons she should be opposed:
  • This brilliant quote: "...Court of Appeals is where policy is made..." That alone should disqualify her.
  • She's been reversed 60% of the time. For those of you in the public school system, that's a 40% success rate. Last time I checked, that's a freaking joke.
  • Another quote: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life." Isn't liberty supposed to be blind? What difference does sex or race make? Liberals keep telling us that we are the ones focused on race and sex, yet we're not the ones making a huge deal of it (Condi Rice, Miguel Estrada, Alberto Gonzales, General Powell before he went to the dark side. All minorities that were castigated by liberals.).
When we start placating to liberal ideas, we have lost. We are losing. There are a lot of people in Washington with an "R" by their name that are in big trouble if they don't man up and do what we voted for.

My Two Cents on Sarah Palin

Everyone and their mom seems to be down on the lovely Mrs. Palin. Why? Where does this come from? Last I checked, the election ended over two months ago. McCain has dropped off the face of the earth and the messiah's poo still doesn't stink. But Mrs. Palin is still being used as a lightning rod for the hate and vitriol of the moron media and the left.

The answer is simple: fear. Those that bash Mrs. Palin do it out of fear. She stands for many of the things that the great Ronald Reagan stood for. She's a conservative and true conservatism scares the hell out of those that don't want to be held to any moral standards. The lefties claim to want everyone to be free to live their lives. Truth is, their policies do nothing by imprison people. Welfare? Liberal idea. Quotas? Liberal idea. Putting hand cuffs on our automobile industry? Liberal idea. (Side note: check out how the big three are doing overseas. Their foreign operations, without all the stupid liberal regulations, are flourishing. Things that make you go "Hmmmm".)

So, all these people believe putting Mrs. Palin down over and over will diminish her in our eyes. They believe that we will see her for who they believe she is. They are scared to death that the messiah won't actually be able to walk on water and that he'll be ripe for the picking in 2012. Instead of waiting for the next election cycle to hit, the moron media is bashing Mrs. Palin now. Not sure how these people live with themselves.

Liberals truly fear the greatness of people like Reagan. We have not had anyone that rivals Ronaldus Maximus since he left office. The liberals have not had much to fear in 20 years. Suddenly, Mrs. Palin bursts onto the national scene. While she's not the second coming of Reagan, she's definitely at the top of the conservative ladder.

Who knows what the future holds. Mrs. Palin may not even bother to venture into the national political scene again. Who could blame her? She's got a fantastic life up there in Alaska. However, I'm sure she's tough enough to endure the barbs and arrows and come out swinging when the time is right.

Mrs. Sarah Palin, thank you. You have given this conservative hope that new blood is out there. Yes I'm nuts, but I'm thinking Palin/Jindal 2012. Or Jindal/Palin 2012. Either way, count me in!!

Where Was James Bond?

I'm sure you've all seen or heard about the "brave" shoe thrower. Well, as I watched the video, I was hoping the W would reenact the scene from Casino Royale where the mad bomber throws his gun at James Bond, Bond grabs it and throws it back at the bomber, clocking him square in the mug. But, no such luck. W is too cool for that, I guess.

But, on the plus side, the left has themselves another hero. No surprise that they love someone who throws like that kid in third grade that never got picked for sports. O, wait. Maybe that's where liberals are spawned. They couldn't make it with all us cool kids, so now they are taking it out on us now. If that's the case, I'm personally responsible for about 67 liberals. Sorry.

Republican Convention - Yawn.

While I am thrilled with the addition of Mrs. Palin to the ticket, I am not going to sit and watch all the speachifying and bloviating. It's all a bit anti-climactic and it's now just going to get interesting.

The only real mystery will be if W and Dick Cheney are going to redirect hurricane Gustav or eliminate it completely so as not to affect the convention. I'm sure those two are sitting somewhere maniacally laughing and saying "excellent" like Mr. Burns. Because, as we all remember, W and Cheney were the masterminds behind hurricane Katrina.

Babies, Guns, Jesus. Hot Damn!

By now you've heard about Sarah Palin. I, along with many of you, have felt like John McCain was going to be the lesser of two evils come November. But, there is a ray of hope! Enter Mrs. Palin! Maybe McCain has finally seen the light. In the last month, he's talking about drilling, continued to stay strong on pro-life and rejected the calls from the moron media to pick a liberal running mate.

So what does he do? Does what's good for his party! Wow, what a move. Mrs. Palin is pro-life (has 5 children, the youngest of which has Down's Syndrome), a hunter and doesn't take crap from anyone. Plus, she knows her sports! I can't wait to see her slap-down that blowhard Biden in the debates. Who cares about McCain vs. the messiah! Bring on Mrs. Palin, our next Vice President!!

The best part is the timing. Talking about stealing any "thunder" from the messiah! What a brilliant decision to do it Friday morning.

How can you not vote for a conservative woman who's nickname is Barracuda? At least she's not a lawyer! Or your ex-wife!

Disclaimer: I stole the title for this post from Rush!
